With offices housed in the historic Wallis Hotel on Main Street in downtown Grapevine, the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau welcomes a record number of guests to the city each year. P.W. MCCallum, executive director of the Grapevine CVB, has been known to say, "Grapevine has grown a little bit — we're sure a lot more now than 2 stoplights and a bait stand." And it's true. Centrally located in the U.S., and with DFW International Airport at our front door, Grapevine is well known to meeting planners and the convention market as an accessible airport destination. In addition, the airport happens to be near a 'quaint historical town' with wonderful attractions and a Texas focus on the fashionable wine industry. Because of this positive marketing strategy, the CVB has assisted in bringing more than half a million guests to Grapevine and the areas' attractions last year. Also, proceeds from our City's two major festivals, Main Street Days and GrapeFest, are shared with the Grapevine Heritage Foundation, expressly for the purpose of preservation and the public's enjoyment of our City's historical landmarks.
