Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange — G.R.A.C.E.

The Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange is a non-profit charitable mission that began in 1987 as a joint outreach of nine local churches, including representatives from cities, schools and local civic organizations. Today, by partnering humanitarian efforts with United Way and many local organizations, GRACE operates as one of the largest civic and non-denominational, ecumenical projects in North Texas.

In the spirit of God's grace, GRACE provides food, clothing, vital necessities, and counseling services to help people who are going through difficult times.

GRACE Calls for Holiday Food Items

Hundreds of local families depend on GRACE each year for food during the upcoming holidays, and this year is no exception. Churches, civic organizations, youth groups, and local companies are encouraged to help fill the GRACE Food Pantry by Friday, November 16. The Food Pantry typically runs low on frozen turkeys, 2 lb. sacks of sugar, instant stuffing mix, small jars of mayonnaise, and grocery store gift certificates. For more information, see the complete list of items needed in the food drive, or call Rusty Thigpen at GRACE: 817 488-7009.

GRACE 8th Annual Christmas Cottage Needs Community Support
Planning for the 8th Annual Christmas Cottage project is underway at GRACE and the community is invited to participate. The Christmas Cottage, at 610 Shady Brook Drive, provides new, unwrapped toys and gifts to underprivileged children in the greater Grapevine area. Beginning December 4, the Christmas Cottage will be open to registered clients to shop for their children’s holiday gifts through December 20.

Many volunteers are needed, including school groups, church groups, businesses or individuals, to donate new toys or hold toy drives for children of all ages. Toys are needed everyday during the three weeks to keep the cottage stocked for shoppers. For more information on holiday inventory/supplies needed, see the online list or call Anna Shore at 817 488-7009.
