Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange — G.R.A.C.E.

The Grapevine Relief And Community Exchange is a non-profit charitable mission that began in 1987 as a joint outreach of nine local churches, including representatives from cities, schools and local civic organizations. Today, by partnering humanitarian efforts with United Way and many local organizations, GRACE operates as one of the largest civic and non-denominational, ecumenical projects in North Texas.

In the spirit of God's grace, GRACE provides food, clothing, vital necessities, and counseling services to help people who are going through difficult times.

Creating the Christmas Cottage - Open House Dec. 3rd

Anyone who thinks Santa’s trip around the world on Christmas Eve is the most ambitious thing that happens before December 25 doesn’t know about GRACE Christmas Cottage!

Nestled in a prominent location in downtown Grapevine off Dallas and Main Street, this year’s Christmas Cottage promises to become the largest North Pole North Texas has ever seen!

The GRACE Christmas Cottage elves unpack hundreds of boxes filled with lights, trees, wreaths and most importantly—toys—transforming a vast space into a winter wonderland. This year, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints accepted the colossal undertaking of unpacking first of many Christmas Cottage boxes. The crew at Embassy Suites carried the torch and donated an evening of service.

The volunteers who essentially create the festive environment from scratch every year is a testimony to our wonderful GRACE family. The countless service hours, heavily lifting and motivated vision of Christmas Cottage is always a worthwhile endeavor, bringing smiles to the faces of hundreds of children across Northeast Tarrant County.

You’re invited to witness the grand unveiling during our Christmas Cottage Open House, on Wednesday, December 3. Holiday goodies will be provided for the children at 4 p.m., with wine and hors d’oeuvres served at 5:30 p.m. There will be a guest appearance from Frosty the Snowman himself. Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift cards for our GRACE families.

We need people to make the holidays joyous for the 700 families GRACE will serve. The list of “How to Help” is nearly as long as Santa’s “Nice” list.  You, your church, your organization and your company can help.

GRACE Dental Program Off to a Smiling Start!
GRACE Dental Program Becoming A Reality!
"We held our first dental screening Tuesday night the 9th during our regular Acute Care Clinic.  Dr. Brian Martin, a local dentist in Grapevine screened over 20 patients in two and a half hours.  During the screening process, we uncovered several clients who were in pain and need to have tooth extractions, and many that have cavities that need to be filled. We are now in the process of prioritizing the clients for services and scheduling them to have the work performed.  This program is so exciting, and I want to thank everyone involved in helping get it off the ground.  More information will be coming in future newsletters about how you can support the program to ensure its continued success", per Amy Holcomb, R.N.
