Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery welcomes you to historic downtown Grapevine and is getting the furnace “fired up” for fall. Join them for a glass pumpkin help-create event! The beautiful pumpkins that you will create are handblown, unique and have become a fun Grapevine Halloween community tradition.

The Vetro family invites you every Friday in October to learn how to create your own glass-blown pumpkin.

Glass Pumpkins, by Vetro Don’t miss this great opportunity to experience
the art of glass-blowing. With the help of your instructor, you select your colors, apply them to the hot molten glass and heat them in the 2,000 degree furnace. The artists blows out to shape the glass pumpkin as you watch. This is truly a unique creative opportunity that everyone should enjoy.

Participation Requirements: Must purchase a Pumpkin Help Create time slot on Friday and come dressed in costume to create your pumpkin. Afterward, you will be able to pick up your Vetro shard from our collection and then be photographed for social media! **Costumes will be given one ticket per time slot that can be redeemed for one spooky glass shard.

21st Annual Butterfly Flutterby @ Grapevine Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park

Do not miss this amazing family event celebrating its 20th year!

Bring the entire family to the Grapevine Botanical Gardens to celebrate the beautiful Monarch butterflies as they migrate from Canada to Mexico.monarch

The 21st Annual Butterfly Flutterby is a family- friendly and free event.

The Butterfly Costume Parade kicks off the celebration and starts at East Wall St and Jenkins St., and ends at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. Registration for the parade begins at 8:45am and pets are welcome to join in the parade too! The parade starts at 10am and prizes will be awarded for best costumes in different age groups.

The Butterfly Releases starts 10:45am, 11:45am and 12:30pm in the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. After the parade, everyone can enjoy butterfly crafts, exhibits, the Migration Station, scavenger hunt, face painting, interactive games and other activities. Food will be available for purchase.

Live butterfly releases will take place throughout the event, so everyone has an opportunity to take part in the excitement as you watch hundreds of beautiful monarchs flutter away.

New this year, the Grapevine/Colleyville Independent School District will display their Art Contest submissions. Entries were submitted by Kindergarten – Fifth grade students, and their pieces demonstrate their understanding of how art makes the world a more beautiful place.

Also on October 20th, everyone is invited to Fall Round-Up at Nash Farm, the Grapevine Garden Club’s Plant Sale from 9am-1pm and the Sunset Concert Series at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.

Join in celebrating the 18th Annual Fall Round-Up at Nash Farm. Each year, everyone enjoys a variety of activities including:

  • wagon rides
  • petting zoo
  • and a special baking contest.
