3rd – 7th graders

“The Shanty on the Claim”

If you are a fan of the book series “Little House on the Prairie” by Laura Ingalls Wilder; you won’t want to miss this great series at Nash Farm. Experience what life was like on the farm and step into Laura’s life as she grew up on the mid-West homestead during the 1800’s.

The series has been designed for 3rd – 7th graders to bring the great book series to life, but everyone is welcome.

Get ready to get messy and have a hand in making light-as-a-cloud biscuits.  Back in the day, dough was often made in large quantities by adding fat, sugar and an egg. Light bread dough would become what we know today as dinner rolls.  The reading for this event will come from the chapter “The Shanty on the Claim,” from By the Shores of Silver Lake.

Registration is required and space is limited for this educating and exciting program. Please call 817 410-3185 or email cjoliff@grapevinetexasusa.com and register today.
