Kubota Tractor Corp. and Kubota Credit Corp. are moving their corporate headquarters to Grapevine. The 25-acre site is city-owned property northeast of Grapevine Mills Mall.
With the support of local and state officials and a $3.8 million grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund, the new 200,000 sq.ft. facility will house their research and development and corporate center. “Kubota’s history and products complement the heritage of our community, and this partnership marks an important milestone in the continued development of the city of Grapevine,” stated Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate.
The new facility will initially create 345 jobs, and Kubota hopes to make additional expansions and provide more jobs. The company confirms the move will affect 180 employees from the current Torrance, CA headquarters; and all employees will be offered positions at the new facilities.
In an effort to restructure and strengthen the brand in the US, Kubota chose Grapevine because of it’s central location, putting corporate staff closer to it’s major markets and manufacturing. Kubota plans to move in phases and anticipates completing the relocation in about 18 months. Construction is set to begin this year and is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2017.
Welcome to Grapevine!
