VINEYARDS CAMPGROUND & CABINS IN GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, COMPLETES $2.25 MILLION IN RENOVATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS
February 23, 2011 –The Vineyards Campground & Cabins completed $2.25 million in renovations and improvements recently to its property located on Grapevine Lake.
“The past nine months of construction, renovations, and site upgrades resulted in many new amenities for our campers,” says Joe Moore, assistant director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Grapevine. “And it was well-worth the effort! Working directly with Cooper General Contractors of Carrollton, Texas, we successfully improved major water/sewer/electrical infrastructure within the park.” Moore also states, “that the beauty of the property was enhanced by adding 17 new concrete RV sites, seven new full-service cabins, a Camp Store, an outdoor events stage, and 195 large diameter trees.”
The Vineyards Campground just earned national recognition as one of The Best Parks in America, joining an elite group of independently-owned and operated RV parks, resorts and campgrounds across the country that promote consistent and outstanding service. Located at 1501 N. Dooley in north Grapevine, the park offers a total of 88 beautifully landscaped and upgraded RV sites and 13 fully-furnished Cabins. The gated facility provides many amenities as well, including a group Pavilion, sandy swim beach, children’s playground, kayak and golf cart rentals, individual site fire rings, and fun-filled weekend events. The nationally-known campground is one of only 32 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across America to earn an all-around ‘A’ grade in the latest GuestReviews™ satisfaction survey of independent parks. “More importantly, today The Vineyards is one of only 13 parks across the country to have received ‘A’ ratings three-years in a row,” said Bob MacKinnon, president and founder of GuestRated.com. “We are very pleased that The Vineyards Campground & Cabins, located in the center of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, is named once again as one of the top parks in the nation,” says Moore. | Garden Manor Bed and Breakfast |
|
In 2005 the Innkeepers, Judy and Gunther Dusek, bought this elegant Southern Georgian style home, formerly the Allen’s Liberty House. After restoring the property, the Duseks opened Garden Manor Bed & Breakfast. The restoration included the creation of personal quarters so that they could live on the premises as well as private living areas for the exclusive use of the bed and breakfast guests. Décor of the Inn is best described as Country Chic, blending yesterday’s charm with today’s technology! The inn has 9’ ceilings, antique doors, original wood-paned windows, extensive molding, ivory painted walls, beautiful dark brown hard wood floors (oak downstairs and wide plank pine upstairs), & sweeping verandas. Yet guests have the modern convenience of free DSL connectivity, flat-screen TV with D.V.D. and cable, walk-in room closet with mini-frig stocked with complimentary bottle spring water and favorite soft drinks, and a private bathroom with whirlpool or classic claw-foot tub, shower, garden-scented bath products, and towel warmer.
A smoke-free environment provides several private areas for guests: a parlor, formal dining room, and 3 verandas with patio tables and seating. The 4 guestrooms with their private bathrooms all are located upstairs with each tastefully decorated: Classic Cottage, Country French, Colonial West Indies, and the English Rose Suite. Amenities include nightly turndown service with chocolate truffles from Schakolad, early morning upstairs coffee service, full-course plantation breakfast, and complimentary bottled spring water and guest favorite soft drinks in room mini-frig.
