Tarrant County – Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.)

The Grapevine and Colleyville Police Departments partner with senior citizens in a non-profit organization known as S.A.L.T. (Seniors And Law Enforcement Together). The S.A.L.T. Council’s main goal is to reduce the criminal victimization of the elderly, and they serve senior citizens throughout Tarrant County.

Cell phone recycling is one of their major fundraisers, and they collect old phones and recycle them for cash.  The money is used to fund different programs that benefit Tarrant County Senior Citizens.  The S.A.L.T. Council also distributes refurbished cell phones to home-bound senior citizens as emergency 911 phones.

If you would like to donate old cell equipment, please call 817 281-5007.  You can donate cell phones, batteries and chargers. Donations are accepted year round.

Please contact Officer Hudgins to get on the mailing list or for more information about this great organization.
