Churches

In the early years, churches served as the foundation for life on the Grape Vine prairie. Usually meeting in homes, horseback circuit-riding preachers would visit the settlers holding worship services and prayer meetings. Not only did the churches support life in the community, they also built schools to help educate the children.

And not much has changed; the mission continues today. Churches embrace our community and children from the very start of life. Most offer mothers-day out programs, pre-school classes, summer Vacation Bible Schools, musical concerts, and many opportunities for community service.

Today, there are more than 30 churches in Grapevine that continue to unite a faith-based community, praying for each other, and promoting peace and love with benevolent hearts.
