The 20th Annual Butterfly Flutterby is a family- friendly and free event.

The Butterfly Costume Parade kicks off the celebration and starts at East Wall St and Jenkins St., and ends at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. Registration for the parade begins at 8:45am and pets are welcome to join in the parade too! The parade starts at 10am and prizes will be awarded for best costumes in different age groups.

The Butterfly Releases starts 10:45am, 11:45am and 12:30pm in the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. After the parade, everyone can enjoy butterfly crafts, exhibits, the Migration Station, scavenger hunt, face painting, interactive games and other activities. Food will be available for purchase.

Live butterfly releases will take place throughout the event, so everyone has an opportunity to take part in the excitement as you watch hundreds of beautiful monarchs flutter away.

New this year, the Grapevine/Colleyville Independent School District will display their Art Contest submissions. Entries were submitted by Kindergarten – Fifth grade students, and their pieces demonstrate their understanding of how art makes the world a more beautiful place.

Also on October 14th, everyone is invited to Fall Round-Up at Nash Farm, the Grapevine Garden Club’s Plant Sale from 9am-1pm and the Sunset Concert Series at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.
